Workforce Planning

The UKBHC recently made the following submission of evidence to the Department of Health & Social Care at Westminster following their call for evidence in relation to the 10 Year Health Plan for England in relation to workforce planning. While the submission is to the government in England, copies have been sent to the relevant departments in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Chaplain Vignettes

These vignettes, or mini-case studies, provide indicative examples of the nature of chaplain’s distinctive contribution towards patient outcomes and staff support. As explained in the document they are composites and are not intended as an exhaustive list. They can be shared, but please do credit the UKBHC as their source.

Body of Knowledge

The following links set out some of the concepts, terms, techniques and practices that define the profession of health and social care chaplaincy. As an emerging profession the body of knowledge is dynamic and this should not be considered a comprehensive list of the theories, methodologies and information relevant to the field.

Board Updates

Board Bulletins are updates shared after meetings of the Directors. The Chair’s Share provides updates on workstreams between meetings of the Directors.
